“According to The Nation’s Report Card, only 33% of fourth graders were proficient readers in 2022. How can we improve that statistic? The number of women who die giving birth in America each year has nearly doubled in the last two decades. How do we reduce that number? The year 2023 was the warmest year on record. How can we reverse that trend?”

Look for AI-empowered answers to these questions in What Works: Fast Field Scanning with AI, a new, free online course for public professionals available through InnovateUS – a partner project of the Burnes Center for Social Change and the GovLab.

This at-your-own-pace course provides hands-on exercises to accelerate the process of finding and assessing solutions. The course is not only useful for those in government, but anyone looking to upskill on evidence-based leadership and policymaking using generative AI.
