Enjoyable interview with Raven Santana at NJ Biz Beat, where we briefly (time flies!) discussed the creation of the AI Task Force in New Jersey to explore the potential of generative AI like ChatGPT, Google Bard, Claude and other tools and their implications for government and for society. The task force aims to understand how these technologies can be used for good, like improving government functions and creating new jobs, while also addressing the risks associated with them. One key focus is on understanding the impact of these technologies on jobs, both in the public and private sectors, and determining the necessary training for workers to leverage these technologies for economic benefit. The Task Force force will also look into issues of equity and literacy, exploring how AI can help in areas like language learning and reading. The Task Force will also examine security, safety, and privacy concerns. Additionally, the Task Force will examine ways to attract AI businesses to New Jersey and help existing businesses use AI effectively. It was a lively conversation!
